Proposal Passing

In Taughts DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization), the process by which a member's proposal is accepted by the organization's stakeholders is referred as a proposal passing. The following usually happens when a proposal is approved:

  1. Voting: After a proposal is filed, stakeholders may choose to accept or reject it by casting a vote. Voting may take place using a decentralized voting platform or a smart contract in some DAOs, while it may also take place through a more centralized platform in others.

  2. Quorum: According to the DAO's governance rules, a proposal must obtain a certain quorum of votes in order to be approved.

  3. Threshold: In addition to the quorum, the proposal also needs to receive a certain number of votes—the threshold—to pass. The governance rules of the DAO determine this limit, which varies from DAO to DAO.

  4. Implementation: The technical team or administration of the DAO will carry out the idea if it is approved.

In Taughts DAO, a proposal passes when the required quorum and threshold for approval are satisfied and a member's proposal is accepted by the organization's stakeholders through voting.
