Fundamental of Web
The development of the world wide web (internet) was being utilised by the US government to protect their nuclear arsenal against cyber attack during the cold war. The initial concept of the system was a decentralised application that allowed the US government to link their network amongst multiple system to safeguard them self against cyber-attack.
Web 1 was a hyperlink system
It act as a data library where data can be stored and view on all network for users to drowse and click.

Read only – Publishing content required technical skills
Web 2
It a segment that is dominated by tech behemoth which has capture majority of the users. Web 2 had experience 3 major shift.
Mobile – it has made us always connected and on the go with the availability of data on our device
Social – the emergence of social media has made users present and removed from anonymity. This was made possible with the simplicity for users to create, share, interact and recommend.
Cloud – unique infrastructure that enable users to develop on the web for a more cost-efficient manner
Web 2 allowed users to read and write
When a user creates an account their users name will be stored in their database which is hosted on central server. Whenever a user’s post a new directory is added to their database. When the post has interaction such as reaction it updates the underlying database page & when a user links to other users the underlying page is update & linked. “This is known as Writing”
Each page on the user’s application are interlinked users can view, click & browse from one page to the other page.” This is known as reading”
Web 3
The current evolution of the internet which allow users to read, write and own. For example, as much as reading a post that that is tied back to you, they are still held on the data base of service provide. On the block chain service provider.
The mechanics of functions:
User joins via his crypto wallet
When users create a post, a new file is created and stored on a decentralised file storage system like (IPFS)
User can transfer ownership of his post to other wallets
On the web 2, service provider company own all the post they liquidate the acquired data for generated values with advertisers. When a post goes viral a service provide company Stock goes up. Whereby on the web 3 users post and return are theirs. They will be able to direct liquidated their post with advertisers via smart contract or sell them as NFT.
