How users can connect

How to connect to Web 3

Web3, also known as the decentralized web, is a term used to describe a network of decentralized applications (DApps) that run on a blockchain or other distributed ledger technology. Web3 technologies allow users to interact with DApps and other decentralized platforms in a decentralized and secure way, without the need for a central authority or intermediaries.

To connect to web3, you will need to use a web3-enabled browser or a web3 wallet. Some popular web3-enabled browsers include Brave, which is built on the Chromium platform and includes a built-in web3 wallet, and MetaMask, which is a browser extension that allows users to interact with web3 DApps and manage their digital assets.

To use a web3-enabled browser or wallet, you will typically need to:

  1. Download and install the browser or wallet on your device.

  2. Connect your browser or wallet to a web3-enabled blockchain or decentralized platform. This might involve setting up an account on the platform, or connecting your wallet to a specific blockchain network.

  3. Use your browser or wallet to interact with web3 DApps and platforms. This might involve accessing and using DApps, or managing and transferring your digital assets.

By connecting to web3 and using web3-enabled tools, you can take advantage of the decentralized and secure nature of web3 technologies, and can interact with DApps and other decentralized platforms in a decentralized way.

To utilise the Dapp, you will have to connect your crypto wallet, i.e you signal the address of your blockchain account to the Dapp.

Difference between Wallet and Address?

An address is a series of numerical dights & alphabets e.g.0xEbDa42A7db5701E8A931C45E39271f047d08D9a8. A wallet shows you things related to your address. There is multiple type of wallet

  • Hot wallet, it interacts with Dapp utilising mobile app or browser extension, it is an open connectivity which makes them less secure for storage

  • Cold wallet, are hardware deice that can be utilise to stores assets

  • Soft wallet, are wallet software apps that is used to store assets on mobile or desktop. Its easy to use compared to cold wallet

Crypto wallets are typically associated with layer 1 blockchain example Binance Smart Chain. They are typically compatible with all the Dapp developed on it. Hence, if a service provide were Binance Smart Chain, user will connect his BNB wallet, as he would to other BNB based Dapp.
