Voting Period
The time period during which organization members may vote on a certain proposition is referred to as the voting period. The voting period's duration is normally determined by the DAO's governance rules, though it may change based on the type and importance of the proposal under consideration.
Members of the DAO may use their voting tokens to indicate their support or disagreement to a proposal during the voting session. The amount of votes cast and the guidelines established by the DAO for how votes are weighted and tallied decide the outcome of the vote. Once the voting period is over, smart contracts are often used to automatically apply the vote's outcomes.
